There’s hope, after all: Comcast approves HBO Go for Xbox
Turns out that Comcast wasn’t diabolically opposed to letting its customers use the new HBO Go app on their Xboxes — it just needed a little extra time to get a deal done. Late Friday, the biggest U.S. cable company announced that its subscribers would be able to access the new Xbox HBO app early this week.
This is good news for those of us who appreciate progress: It suggest Comcast isn’t going to be unreasonable about “owning the customer experience” or something like that.
Still waiting on Time Warner Cable, the no. 2 cable operator, to support HBO Go for Xbox.
